When I am teaching virtually I use a drawing tablet and pen to write on my screen, because my handwriting using a mouse is atrocious. However, when I want to use the annotate feature in Nearpod and try to control the pen from my tablet, it doesn't pick up all of the writing. The tool bar where you select the pen color, etc. pops up and down constantly and I'm guessing that is why it cuts out some of what I write. I have tried changing the pressure settings on my tablet, but that does not seem to make any difference. I just avoid using the Nearpod annotate feature and use a different tool, but I hate having my students go back and forth between Nearpod and my shared screen. Is there any way around this? Could the pop up tool bar be manually selected instead of popping up anytime the mouse is released (or the pen leaves the tablet)? It seems to struggle the most with catching when I write 3's, equal signs, the letter s, and fractions.
