Currently, Nearpod only supports native embedding from YouTube, an uploaded MP4 and the premium library. We have blocked YouTube all together for our elementary and middle students and do not allow any YouTube urls. Embedding YouTube typically requires allowing access to some YouTube urls, that unfortunately create a backdoor in other apps for students to be able to access and watch YouTube videos.

We would like to natively embed videos from other sources beyond YouTube so that we do not have to compromise our filters by giving students more access to YouTube videos than they need. We are using SafeShare.TV as our video sharing service, but we would like to see the ability to natively embed videos from additional sources as well.
