I wanted to share feedback about a recent change I noticed while using Nearpod today. I am now unable to advance through my lessons using the arrow keys or a presentation clicker without first pressing additional buttons. This is extremely inconvenient for classroom instruction. I teach science and use a large Clear Touch interactive display at the front of my classroom. I frequently teach while moving around the room, conducting demonstrations, or working with students during experiments. I have always been able to use a presentation clicker to advance my Nearpod slides without having to return to the screen. With this change, I now have to physically walk back to my Clear Touch every time I need to advance the lesson, which significantly disrupts the flow of instruction.
I personally purchase my Nearpod subscription every year because I love the platform and use it extensively in my classroom. However, this functionality is important enough to my daily teaching that, if it is not restored, it may affect my decision to purchase Nearpod again next year. Please consider restoring the ability to advance lessons directly with the keyboard arrow keys/presentation clickers. It makes a huge difference for teachers who need to move around their classrooms while teaching.
