New Slide Editor: Easy Add Menu for Text or Media by default

the classic slide editor lets you easily select a layout and then select what is going into each section and it automatically sizes images, gifs, etc to the section you've selected. This makes it SO much faster to utilize images.
On the new slide builder you have to take many more steps to add an image then it goes into a random spot on the slide and when you move it, you end up distorting the image. Ideally, the image should populate into the section of the slide you've selected and THEN you can edit it to move into another location. The default location for an image to populate on the new slide editor is not intuitive so its creating extra steps for users. I made a screen recording of this to show the difference in time: https://watch.screencastify.com/v/xUbR3YN37RwuUvmwmHww
The personalization in the new slide editor is amazing but the overall UX design is not user friendly or intuitive. This feature needed more beta testing and improvement before its roll out.

Please bring back the option to create slides that look the attached instead of the new create slide option. This format allows me to size jpgs without distorting them a lot better. I create my presentations in Google slides, download as jpgs, and upload them to Nearpod.

Huzzah, if you go to "all" after slide creation, you can create a slide that is in the "classic" mode

No easy media insertion

Nearpod used to have easy media insertion, if I clicked on a box I could select image, video, text, etc. It would automatically align and size the media when I put it in, now the media is randomly inserted and doesn't fit right, and is placed over the existing text box - it is way worse. The program needs to be changed back to the way it was before which was much more intuitive and better. Also bring back scrolling text boxes.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We are continually working through updates and additional features for this new tool and are taking this into account as we aim to move more teachers onto the new editor. This is great feedback and something we are looking into.
