Google Slides: Persist animations
D
Dionne Lambert
Upon importing my slideshow from Google slides, I noticed that NONE of the animations imported...so I wound up having to run the animations from Google slides instead of being able to import the animated presentation into Nearpod.

Yes! I get so frustrated with this. I have loads of slides with animations that do not work in Nearpod...which makes for a much more boring lesson!

I wish you could also add the animations when editing in nearpod.

Yes I would love to see animations on slides as a feature.

It really would be great to have the animations we put in in our presentation be kept when we import lessons into Nearpod.

Same Problem. I use appear on click to progress number talks without this it would take five additional slides. :( I guess I will bounce between google slides and nearpod

Yes, I totally agree. I end up making a slide FOR EACH ANIMATION, which as you could imagine, is a ton of slides!! I really wish they had a better feature!!

This is so important. The ability to create nearpod activities in google slides is a really good idea. The problem is importing the slides into nearpod then looses all the good engagement features in google. I am currently running a hybrid environment where I run a google slides presentation and then switch to nearpod when I want students to run an activity. This means every lesson has a google slides and a nearpod component. It would be terrific if I could have everything in one place.
I've got a complete SoW for Ks4 and KS5 physics (several hundred powerpoints). I'm currently converting the ppt to google because slides works better in Chrome for remote teaching being able to integrate nearpod would make this a fab environment.

This is one of my biggest struggles with using Nearpod... I absolutely love the platform, but I teach science and moving models and pictures are so important! I end up having to create a separate slide for just the GIF to work on, and it adds so many more steps to my lessons

I end up leaving it in google slides and not using nearpod to convert it or creating a separate slide for each change. This is incredibly cumbersome for creation and presentation

I wish that when I had GIFS and animations in existing google slides or powerpoints that they would remain functional when I turn those slides into nearpod using the add on for google slides.
